DOES GOD DWELL IN MAN-MADE TEMPLES?

II Chronicles 7:16  For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. (KJV) Acts 7:48  Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, (KJV)

God does not dwell in temples, as Acts says.  2 Chronicles is saying that God favors certain houses of worship in a transcendent way, not that He actually makes His home in them.  Not a contradiction.
