DOES GOD PLAY FAVORITES?
Deuteronomy 7:6  For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. (KJV)

Deuteronomy 7:14  Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. (KJV)

Acts 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: (KJV)

Deuteronomy 10:17 For the Lord your God is God of Gods, and Lord of Lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: (KJV)

Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

The answer to this one is in the next verse after the Acts passage, 10:35. "But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." (KJV).  The Israelites received God's favor because they feared Him and worked righteousness, not because of their cultural heritage.  Not a contradiction.
