CAN YOU LOSE YOUR SALVATION?
John 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (KJV)

Romans 8:38-39  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV)

Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. (KJV)

Matthew 13:20-21  But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. (KJV)

Hebrews 6:4-6  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (KJV)

II Peter 2:20-21  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. (KJV)

To be honest, I don't think the Bible is clear as to whether it's possible to lose your salvation, and none of the above passages are absolutes when it comes to this question.  I will say this, though.  It's the RULE that you cannot lose your salvation.  But there may be a rare exception to the rule.  You cannot lose your salvation through committing sins, since all sins are washed away as long as you are saved.  But I think there may be cases where a believer turns away from Jesus and thus his faith.  Maybe I'm wrong about that.  I'm not sure.  But let's take a look at each of these passage:

John 10:28 is probably the best argument for the idea that you can't lose your salvation, but this refers to followers, so would this rule still apply if one stopped following?  Perhaps.

The Romans 8 passage is about God's love, not salvation.  Whether we're saved or not, God loves us.

The Ezekiel passage refers to the way things were before Jesus died for our sins (it's an Old Testament passage). It's only once Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for our sins that salvation became unlosable

The Matthew 13 passage speaks of those who receive the word joyfully, but do not accept salvation.

And why a critic included the Hebrews passage is beyond me. It's actually an argument for why salvation cannot be lost. It's saying that salvation cannot be gained twice, which goes along with the idea of once-saved-always-saved. What it's saying is that if we fall away, we only have to turn back to the Lord.  It is not necessary to accept salvation all over again, since we never lost it in the first place.

The 2 Peter passage is speaking of temporary setbacks in this world, that a saved person who turns away from what he knows will suffer worse, in this world, than a person who is unsaved, but that does not imply that this person loses his salvation.

Whether we can lose our salvation, or not lose our salvation, there are no contradictions among these passages.
