IS IT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE?

Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (KJV) 1 Corinthians 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. (KJV)

In the Genesis passage, God was saying it was not good for 'the man' (that is, Adam) to be alone.  This was one person in particular being referred to here.  Since Paul was not talking about Adam, and God was not talking about the unmarried and widows, there is no contradiction here.
