WHO WAS LABAN'S FATHER?  BETHUEL OR NAHOR?

Genesis 28:5 And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padan-aram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother. Genesis 29:5 And he (Jacob) said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.

"Son" can refer to any male descendent, so Laban could have been the direct child of one and the grandson (or great grandson, etc.) of the other, the same way that Jesus was the "Son of Abraham" though He was a distant relative.  Not a contradiction.
