| DO WE REAP WHAT WE SOW? |

they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be
ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD. (KJV)
Micah 6:15 Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine. (KJV)
Matthew 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: (KJV)
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (KJV)

| 'Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap' is a rule in regards to spiritual matters. The Bible makes it quite clear that this does not apply to material matters. Some give more than they take, others take more than they give (as the Jeremiah and Micah passages are saying). In the Matthew passage, Jesus is pointing out the contradiction in the way the 'wicked and slothful servant' is thinking. Jesus is stating this as a false premise the servant is falsely believing. Not a contradiction. |
