WILL ANY ISRAELITE WHO GOES TO EGYPT DIE?

Jeremiah 42:17 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.

Note: The assumption of contradiction is that many men (Jesus included) went to Egypt and came back just fine. In the Jeremiah passage, God is talking to a specific group of Israelites, not all Israelites for all time.  The Babylonians were about to attack the Israelites, and the Israelites were considering fleeing to Egypt, and God warned them that the Babylonians would come to Egypt after them and slay them.  Not a contradiction.
