IS THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD PEACEFUL OR VENGEFUL?

Judges 15:14  And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. (KJV) I Samuel 18:10  And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. (KJV) Galatians 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (KJV)

In the Judges passage, God was freeing Samson from bondage.  In the 1 Samuel passage, it wasn't God's spirit that was possessing Saul, but an evil spirit (essentially a demon) which God was allowing to possess Saul since the ultimate result would be for God's benefit.  Not a contradiction.
