| IS MARRIAGE APPROVED? |
| Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father
and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be
one flesh? (KJV)
I Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. (KJV)
I Corinthians 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. (KJV)

| To suggest that the 1 Corinthians 7:8 passage is a disapproval of marriage is ridiculous, considering that the next passage says, 'But if they cannot contain (be abstinent), let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.' (also note that it follows the 1 Corinthians 7:2 passage by a mere six verses) That passage is saying that it is okay to not marry, but it is better to marry. The Bible clearly approves of marriage. Not a contradiction. |
