IS SATAN IN CHAINS, OR FREE?

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;(KJV) Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (KJV) 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (KJV)

First of all, both passages are metaphorical.  But besides that, only the 1 Peter passage talks about the devil himself.  The 2 Peter and Jude passages are referring to other fallen angels, not the devil.  Not a contradiction.
