HOW MUCH DID DAVID PAY ARAUNAH FOR HIS PROPERTY?
II Samuel 24:24  And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. (KJV)

I Chronicles 21:25  So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight. (KJV)

Note: Araunah and Ornan are the same person

1 Chronicles also speaks of David buying threshing instruments and wheat (see 21:23), and thus paying six hundred shekels.  2 Samuel mentions the fifty shekels being only for the threshingfloor and oxen.  Not a contradiction.
