| Arent there some striking parallels between the Jesus and Artemes stories? |
| Artemes (aka Artemis) was the twin sister of
Apollo. She was the goddess of wilderness,
the hunt, wild animals and fertility. She carried a bow and arrow,
and hunted (then later protected) wild game. She was a lifelong virgin,
and frequently killed men who tried to have sex with her (as well as people
who tried to kill animals she protected). She wasn't born of a virgin
(her mother, Leto, was either Zeus' wife or concubine, depending on the story),
apostles, or death/resurrection, or anything which compares to Jesus.
