| First of all, there is no single deity known as 'Bacab'. Bacabs
are a type of Mayan deity, of which there are four. They represent
the four points of the compass and four colors ('Cauac' being south and red,
'Ix' being west and black, 'Kan' being east and yellow, 'Mulac' being north
and white). There are no strong parallels between these four deities
and Jesus.
