| That depends on who Maximus Christos is. One skeptic says he was
an Israelite who lived about a hundred years before Jesus, and on whom the
"Jesus" character was largely based. Searches on Google, Infoseek and
Yahoo found no hits for this name. His excuse was that maybe he misspelled
it. I tried other variations like "Maximus Khristos", "Maximus Kristos",
"Maximis Christos", and still found nothing. If anyone has any information
on this guy, please let me know. I'm pretty sure the skeptic in this
case was just making it up.
I got an E-mail in response to my above request from someone saying that "Maximus Christos" is an early title given to Jesus, not the name of a pre-Christian figure. |
