| Melkarth is an alternate name for the Greek god Heracles, who is the
inspiration for the Roman god Hercules.
Heracles has no strong parallels to the Jesus story. He had no
virgin birth, crucifixion, or resurrection. He died by being given
a shirt soaked in the blood of a centaur (which is poisonous).
