Aren’t there some striking parallels between the Jesus and Osiris stories?
According to the critic here, Osiris (aka Usire):

1)  Was male

Ummm...yeah, so is roughly 50% of the population.

2)  Lived in pre-Christian times

Yes, he did.  But, obviously, Jesus did not.

3)  Had a god for a father

That he did, the Earth God Geb (aka Keb or Seb)

4)  Had a human virgin for a mother

Nope.  His mother was the goddess Nut (I'm saying her name is 'Nut', not that she's a nut).

5)  Had his birth announced by a heavenly display

I'm finding no reference to this for Osiris.

6)  Had his birth announced by celestial music

I'm finding no reference to this for Osiris (or for Jesus, for that matter)

7)  Was born about DEC-25

I can't find any sources giving any birth date for Osiris.  And once again, Jesus wasn't born on Dec 25.

8)  Had an attempt on his life by a tyrant while he was still an infant.

Not in any version I've seen.

9)  Met with a violent death

True, but true of a lot of historical and mythological figures.  In most versions, he's slain and cut into pieces by Seth (his son in many version, his brother in other versions), so this hardly corresponds to Jesus.

10)  Rose again from the dead

In almost every version, he does not come back from the dead.  There is one version in which Isis resurrects him, but I've only seen it mentioned in one source, and even that source admits this version is rare, and was thus likely unknown to the Israelites.
