| Arent there some striking parallels between the Jesus and Universal Monarch stories? |
| This one's quite humorous, really. Acharya S is apparently referring
to a Sibyllene oracle which states (in part) "With five loaves at the same
time, and with two fishes, He shall satisfy five thousand men in the wilderness;
And afterwards taking all the fragments that remain, He shall fill twelve
baskets to the hope of many. . . .He shall still the winds by His word, and
calm the sea as it rages, treading with feet of peace and faith. . . . He
shall walk on the waves, He shall release men from disease. He shall raise
the dead, and drive away many pains. . ." Acharya S then goes on to
say that Joseph Wheless (her source on this) claims this oracle was "already
said of Horus" and "purportedly existed prior to the Christian era."
What's funny is that Wheless, her source, says exactly the opposite! In his text "Forgery In Christianity" (the title alone should have given her a clue) he claimed that these oracles were forgeries created by Christians after Jesus' time. So her claim that Wheless said they were pre-Christian is an obvious lie. |
