Howdy David, Thanks for leaving the challenge on the Jesus/Horus page. I have a strong suspicion that you'll be out $1000, since no historian would deny the connection between Horus and Jesus. But alternate viewpoints are important. Hopefully some day I actually list the sources on that page. It wasn't my list originally, I had to find the sources myself after the fact.... but never got the tiem to update it due to a) the page being so old and b) the discussions being far more interesting with people speculating. I'll be sure to check your page out and make a link (besides the one in the comment section).

We'll see. Actually, a Biblical scholar named W. Ward Gasque sent some of
the main items on the "Horus" list to 20 of the world's leading Egyptologists,
and they unanimously debunked it. There's a page about it here: Thanks for responding! |

I'll check this out. Incidentally, I'm not a Jesus-is-myth person. Even if every similarity is true, I agree with your Lincoln-Kennedy comparison. One's existence does not deny the other's. So I hope I wasn't taken in that way. |
