| Because some people don't WANT to go to Heaven. Many people reject God
and everything He has to offer. It would be cruel of God to force these people
to spend eternity with them, the same way it would be cruel to force someone
to marry someone that they hate.
I should note that I don't believe that hell is a place of physical suffering, since all that is physical ends in this world. I believe that the 'flames' are metaphorical. Hell is the absence of God. |
