Please try to see past your attachment to your current faith and realize all of the importance of Christianity was around before the religions current packaging. It doesn't have to change the way you feel about God or any incarnation of God you want to recognize. All of the themes present in the Jesus Myth were borrowed from the Osiris Dionysus myths. I want you to reconize that it is repackaged goodness along with mans evil venom see past the collective our religion is super to see that the truth reaches back further than something that happened 2008 years ago.

The reason you recognize January 6th and December 25 is because these two dates are taken from different parts of history. Winter solstice was on the 6th of January but it is ever advancing due to our calender system later it was on the 25 of December today it lands on the 22nd of December's.

Dionysus or Bacchus is thought of as being Greek, but he is a remake of the Egyptian god Osiris, whose cult extended throughout a large part of the ancient world for thousands of years. In the Egyptian myth, Horus and his once-and-future Father, Osiris, are frequently interchangeable, as in I and my Father are one. Concerning Osiris, Walker says: Of all savior-gods worshiped at the beginning of the Christian era, Osiris may have contributed more details to the evolving Christ figure than any other. Already very old in Egypt, Osiris was identified with nearly every other Egyptian god and was on the way to absorbing them all. He had well over 200 divine names. He was called the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, God of Gods.

I hate to point out your mistake, but you never show these lists to people who have actually studied ancient mythology. You're supposed to only show them to people who are unfamiliar with mythology and thus won't know that your lists are completely wrong. Those people might be naive enough for you to convince them. Anyone who's actually studied mythology won't be. I've already responded to the Dionysus and Osiris/Horus claims on my site, and have shown that they have no basis in ancient mythology. But don't take my word for it. I'd like you to investigate the claims for yourself.

I'll give you $1000 to prove your claims regarding Dionysis or Osiris/Horus. I'm not asking for much in the way of proof. Just point me to a version of the story, one scholars generally agree is pre-Christian, in which those things happen (or if the details come from multiple versions of their stories, show me the different versions). Don't just point me to some "scholar" claiming those things happen, but the story itself. If you can't find the stories themselves, then any compelling evidence that they're pre-Christian will do. If you're claiming it's all from heiroglyphs, just show me photos of the heiroglyphs. I maintain that most of these comparisons arose in post-Christian times, mostly from the 18th century or later.

Hahahahaha Great Challenge I'll Take it. Due to the suppression of information after the rise of the Christian faith these ideas were only uttered for the First 300 years of Christianity and the last 300 Years since the rise of the science of anthropology in the 18th century when the church stopped killing scientists for going "against" the church.

P.S. I don't feel these Ideas hurt Christianity as much as it dispels some of the bad stigma from translating the bible literally because really our religions are compounded. Christianity is just our modern form of the outer mysteries of paganism all dressed up anew.

As for what mythology I've studied, I've researched the deities that Christ-mythers claim that the Jesus story "borrowed" from (those that exist, that is - Many of them, like Bacab, Beddru, Bremrillah, Crite, Gentaut, Hil, Ieo, Ischy, Jao, Mikado, Samheim, and Zoar of the Bonzes, appear to have been completely fabricated by Christ-mythers and aren't actually part of any culture's mythology.) I've gone to general mythology websites, e-mailed Christ-myther sites seeing if they can back up their claims, talked to followers of the religions that Christ-mythers claim the Jesus story borrows from to see if those "comparison points" are something that is part of their religion (they're not), and have asked those who have e-mailed me, claiming to have evidence, to actually provide their evidence (none have). I even e-mailed Acharya S asking her to back up her claims regarding Horus, and all she did was repeat the claims and tell me to go look elsewhere. Go figure!

The fact that, so far, absolutely everyone I've met promoting these Christ-myth theories has backed down when I've challenged them to provide the evidence their claims, convinces me that there is no evidence to be had. It's now gotten to the point where I'm offering $1000 to someone to see if that motivates them to actually look for it (I'll probably put the offer on my website for all Christ-myters, but I'll give you the first crack at it). I shouldn't have to offer money to them in exchange for their evidence. If they make claims, say they have evidence for them, but refuse to provide the evidence when asked, then that's intellectual dishonesty. Why aren't they parading it for all the world to see? The burden is on them to present their evidence, and I'm still waiting for someone to do so. Let me know if you find it.
